Statue of Liberty

STATUE OF LIBERTY is part of an ongoing project (like PARIS LOOKS and GIZA) where Kleinjan covertly takes pictures of tourists posing for their own snapshots in front of touristic landmarks.
In this photo series, the Statue of Liberty in New York is taken as the setting in front of which small, solitary human figures try to withstand the elements of time as they mark their future memory.
